A premium reed introduced in 2003, the 56 Rue Lepic (Vandoren's Paris address) is an innovation from the world's leading producer of professional single reeds.
The design offers a woody, round sound with a strong spine. The reed blank is cut slightly thicker than the V12 with a different profile and more arched contour and is the only Vandoren clarinet reed that is not finished with a file cut.
The 56 was also the first reed to be supplied in a humidity controlled package for fresh from factory quality.
